Colley attended grade school in Midland City and later attended Auburn University.

She married Herb Whitestone in Dallas, Texas, in 1943 during WWII. She and her husband decided to make Dothan their home by first moving to Napier Field and then to their permanent residence at 1504 Sioux St. Colley lived in the Dothan area for more than 50 years. She was a dedicated and loving wife to Herb for more than 54 years. She served him and their two sons as a loyal and devoted wife and mother.

She worked along side her husband as a "professional" woman even before this was customary, putting two sons through college and building a successful business in the Dothan area. She was their "best friend" during times of difficulty and adversity. During her early years, she was active in the Dothan Service League and Eclectus. Later she transitioned to a simple, but dignified lady who enjoyed just the ordinary things in life. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Perhaps her greatest joy was when God blessed her and the family with the birth of five grandchildren and to see her loving granddaughter Heather triumph over adversity to become the most beautiful Miss America in recent times. May God bless this wonderful woman whom we are all honored to have known and loved. Survivors include her husband, Herb Whitestone; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bill Whitestone, Dothan; Bruce and Gloria Whitestone, Germantown, grandchildren, Stacey and Tom Vera, Melissa and Tony Gomillion, Heather and John McCallum, Erika Whitestone and Christopher Whitestone; three sisters, Melba Faison, Pensacola, Hilma Green, Dothan, and Margaret Wallace, Midland City. Mrs. Whitestone was predeceased by her brothers, Hartford Thompson Dewitt Thompson and Don Thompson.

Mr. Ready will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time. Mr. Ready was born Sept. 23, 1938, in Houston County and lived there all his life.

Mr. Donn was born Feb. 26, 1915, in Alabama and resided in the Dothan area most of his life. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army.

He was a taxi driver for a local taxi company for several years prior to moving to Panama City, where he was engaged in the construction business. Mr. Donn was a resident of Dothan for the past 15 years and was of the Assembly of God faith. Survivors include a son, Gene Donn, Harrisburg, a daughter, Eunice Andrews, Panama City; three grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; two brothers, Bill Donn, Panama City, Robert Donn, Dothan; four sisters, Lillian Parrish, Susie Day, both of Dothan, Ella Siebert, Conway, Lena Culbreth, Gulfport, several nieces and nephews also survive. Buford Franklin Forrester Buford Franklin Forrester, 62, of 1662 Third died Tuesday, May 5, 1998, at his residence following a long illness.

Forrester was born Jan. 29, 1936, in Houston County and lived most of his life in Cowarts. He was employed as a mechanic with Bondy's Ford for several years until his retirement in 1980.
